Chapter 1244 - 619: Tan Shuya Wants to Die Together with Lu Wangshu
Chapter 1244 - 619: Tan Shuya Wants to Die Together with Lu Wangshu
Nan Moyan merely curled his lips coldly, not saying a word.
The one truly lacking sense is Tan Shuya indeed.
After all, genuinely smart people would never do something so foolish.
Tan Shuya watched Song Qiao’s increasingly pained expression, her smile growing more maniacal as time ticked away, while the ship she waited for had yet to arrive here. Even if she were foolish, she now understood what was truly going on.
Her gaze fell coldly upon Lu Jingchen and Nan Moyan, and Tan Shuya’s face twisted into a mocking expression as she spoke coldly, "I know that I, Tan Shuya, cannot win against the two of you. Today I don’t plan to leave here alive, and your son is destined to die with me. I originally...didn’t intend for him to die, but all of this is forced by you..."
"Tan Shuya, what are you intending to do?" Lu Jingchen tightly held Song Qiao in his arms, and upon hearing Tan Shuya’s words, was instantly filled with a foreboding sense, his eyes involuntarily shifting to the woman by the seaside,
and...his and Song Qiao’s son.
Tan Shuya grabbed Lu Wangshu’s arm with one hand, and clutched his throat with the other, retreating continuously. The sea breeze made her lips feel dry, she couldn’t help but lick them, then spoke slowly, each word clearly articulated, "What do I intend to do? I merely want you to taste the feeling of losing a son...Lu Jingchen, Song Qiao, I want to see you suffer a lifetime, rendering you unable to forget how your son died..."
The woman almost spat out these words through gritted teeth, like a curse, striking directly at Song Qiao’s heart.
The ominous feeling in Song Qiao’s heart grew clearer, until she finally couldn’t hold back, breaking free from Lu Jingchen’s grip, sprinting straight toward Tan Shuya, "Tan Shuya, don’t do anything foolish, let my son go..."
Yet, Tan Shuya merely gave her a malicious smile, then grabbed Lu Wangshu and leapt into the sea without hesitation.
In an instant, they vanished from sight, before anyone could react.
"Wangshu..." Song Qiao felt as if her heart was stabbed, intending to sprint towards them, but after taking just two steps she felt her vision blur, and then lost all consciousness.
Nan Moyan quickly dashed forward, diving into the sea, while the sight of Song Qiao fainting felt like a massive hand gripping Lu Jingchen’s heart. He hurried to her side, supporting her against his chest, his hands beginning to tremble uncontrollably, "Qiaoqiao..."
Nan Moyan’s men arrived swiftly, and the man who had originally been beside Tan Shuya, sensing trouble, tried to flee but was soon subdued by Nan Moyan’s people.
...
An hour later, chaos reigned at the municipal hospital, even the dean was alerted.
When Xu Qian and Lu Tianming arrived at the hospital, Lu Jingchen was leaning against the wall, staring at the floor beneath him, lost in his thoughts. From a distance, he emitted a vibe that made people shudder involuntarily, and the closer they approached, the more they felt the oppressive atmosphere around him.
Xu Qian couldn’t bother worrying about anything, she walked straight to Lu Jingchen, her emotions unstable, almost shouting as she asked, "What on earth happened? How did Tan Shuya manage to take Wangshu..."
Hearing his mother’s voice, Lu Jingchen, who hadn’t moved for ages, finally seemed to regain his senses, his thin lips moved slightly, only after a while did he find his voice, "Mom...why are you here?"
His complexion was somewhat pale, his clothes not yet dry, with a puddle at his feet. It was unclear how long he had stood there.
Xu Qian, while gripping her son’s damp clothes, suddenly recalled what was mentioned on the phone. Her expression shifted slightly, addressing Lu Jingchen, "Why don’t you change into something dry? What if you catch a cold?"
"Mom, I’m fine."
Lu Jingchen stood upright, feeling a slight dizziness, he closed his eyes briefly then reopened them, feeling somewhat better.
Xu Qian looked at him with concern, asking, "What really happened? Wangshu...how did this happen? And how did Qiaoqiao faint?"
Lu Jingchen’s face clouded over, turning to his mother, his expression reverting to indifference, though his tone lacked much emotion, "Mom, it’s Tan Shuya who’s behind this..."
He no longer intended to conceal anything, at present his son remained in surgery, not yet out of danger, while his wife remained unconscious. He couldn’t possibly let Tan Shuya off so easily.
Tan Shuya had been rescued, but the woman was quite lucky, surviving without issue, merely having ingested a good amount of sea water.
But Lu Wangshu’s condition was the most dire, due to the drop in temperature, and the child’s weaker physique. By the time Nan Moyan rescued him, Lu Wangshu had already gone into shock.
Beside him, Lu Tianming seemed somewhat incredulous, his voice trembling slightly as he asked his son, "Are you telling me...Tan Shuya kidnapped Wangshu, leading to his current predicament?"
Lu Jingchen glanced at his father, though part of him still blamed Lu Tianming for relentlessly trying to pair him with Tan Shuya, believing this was partly why the situation had escalated.
But the situation had already unfolded, he answered with a faint acknowledgment, admitting so.
Lu Tianming’s face grew increasingly grim, nearly terrifying in its somberness, asking once more, "And those who kidnapped your mother and Song Qiao, were they also sent by Tan Shuya?"
Lu Jingchen pressed his lips together, giving another faint acknowledgment.
At this, Lu Tianming’s complexion could no longer be merely described as grim; it had turned completely dark.
Xu Qian also seemed incredulous, her gaze fixated on her son, only after a long while did she find her voice, "Are you saying all of this was orchestrated by Tan Shuya? Where is that woman Tan Shuya now?"
